Auschwitz
The Nazis’ death camp in Poland named Auschwitz was where the Germans’ National Socialist regime murdered millions of people. Today the camp is preserved as a museum to emphasize a resolution that such crimes must never be repeated. “Lest We Forget”.
Today we are seeing a movement to erase the history of the abomination of slavery in America. Monuments to soldiers who fought valiantly for the Confederacy must be obliterated, plus statues of such as Frederick Douglas. The founders of our nation must have their memories elided because some of them owned slaves, like Washington and Jefferson. [It has been noted that Jefferson inherited slaves and freed almost all of them.] We must avoid awakening unpleasant, stressful, and offensive memories.
Now that we are seeing the virtuous resurgence of anti-Semitism on the politically correct side of our ideological spectrum, surely we should bulldoze and obliterate the site of Auschwitz in order to avoid awakening unpleasant, stressful, and offensive memories.
